Bethel Humanitarian Association is headquartered in the Bethlehem Christian Center in Hunedoara , Romania . Corneliu Medrea established Bethlehem Christian Center in 1999. Our outreach activities consist of: sports events, entertainment (i.e. movies), instructive educational activities, Bible studies, Christian camps, and church services. Through our different ministries, we impact 1200 children on a weekly basis. We believe that the younger generation's primary need is to know God. As we work to fulfill their spiritual needs, we also strive to meet their material and emotional needs.

History

• Bethlehem Christian Center originated through outdoor evangelization activities began in August 1993 by the local church community.
• In March 1994 Corneliu Medrea joined this activity. Each week they held outdoor meetings in the peripheral neighborhoods of Hunedoara.
• In a short time, relationships were formed between leaders and children. The leaders began to understand children's needs and became familiar with their social conditions. Every Christmas, special events for children were organized.
• Since 1994 the children have had the opportunity to spend an unforgettable week at summer camp. The camp experiences have revealed that beyond their reserved behavior and their immoral and antisocial language, the children longed for a faith that would motivate their entire existence.

Aware of the necessity for a proper environment where all these activities could occur, Mr. Corneliu Medrea envisioned The Bethlehem Christian Center
